The Impact of Employee Empowerment on Job Engagement: Evidence from Jordan

The objective of this study was to investigate the impact employee empowerment (i.e., structural and psychological empowerment) on job engagement physical, emotional, cognitive engagement). A quantitative approach adopted in order achieve such a aim, data collected via an online questionnaire. sample consisted 300 employees from Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), one biggest Jordanian organisations Aqaba, with total 293 questionnaires retrieved 7 excluded due their being invalid for statistical analysis. This yielded 286 accepted questionnaires, or 95.3% provided. Moreover, Statistical Analysis Package Social Science (SPSS) used analysis, results which indicating that level implementation dimensions had medium rate amongst ASEZA’s employees, as applied more than empowerment. Furthermore, present also surveyed ASEZA employees. indicated there be significant by physical engagement, whilst no made emotional compared empowerment, it. In light findings research, managers must pay attention role promoting work since enhances organisation’s ability appropriate strategy gain comparative advantage.
